WHAT’S IN THE BOX?
SKILLS DEVELOPED IN THE GARDEN SET:
TACTILE SENSE little hands are exposed to various textures and colours through the flowers and rice provided.

FINE-MOTOR SKILLS picking up objects using their pincer grip, pushing flowers into pots of rice, scooping up rice into pots, using the rake to push rice around, or picking up handfuls of rice all strengthen muscles in the hands that are essential for writing as children grow older.
MIDLINE CROSSING a child’s ability to cross over from the left to right side of their bodies greatly affects reading and writing skills at a later stage.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS by counting the flowers or pots, dividing the flowers amongst the various pots, filling the pots with rice or sorting the flowers by colour or size, children are exposed to practical application of mathematical concepts.
LANGUAGE SKILLS children expand their vocabulary as concepts like inside, around, tall or short, colours, or textures are discussed during play.
IMAGINATIVE PLAY children are introduced to the world of gardening and will get lost in the endless imaginary world it provides.
